Arnuity Ellipta (generic: fluticasone furoate) is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medicine that helps prevent and control asthma symptoms in adults and children aged five years and older. Arnuity Ellipta nasal spray is taken as a one-dose inhalation daily. Arnuity Ellipta is not prescribed to relieve sudden breathing problems and will not replace a rescue inhaler. If you have a history of sudden breathing problems, always have a rescue inhaler like Ventolin or Duoneb on hand. Dosage Arnuity Ellipta should be taken once a day, at the same time each day. It has been shown to improve breathing all through the day and all night. It may take up to two weeks or longer after starting Arnuity Ellipta to see maximum benefit.

Brand Manufacturer: GlaxoSmithKline
Side Effects: This text is for informational purposes only. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication. There may be side effects as you use the inhaler, such as dry or irritated throat, hoarseness, or coughing. If any of these lasts over a few weeks or worsens, discuss it with your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Sometimes, more serious side effects may occur, such as: White patches on your tongue or inside your mouth Signs of infection such as sore throat that doesn’t clear, along with fever or chills Mood changes such as depression or agitation Vision problems Increased thirst and urination Bone pain Easy bruising and bleeding, Report these to your doctor immediately and stop using the inhaler. If inhalation causes a sudden severe bout of wheezing or troubled breathing immediately after use, try a quick-relief inhaler (Ventolin or Duoneb) and get medical help immediately. Read the manufacturer’s Product Insert that comes with the medication. Not all side effects are listed here. Consult a healthcare provider if you experience these or other unexpected effects.
Indication: Arnuity Ellipta can help control asthma symptoms but is not a cure. It is also essential to understand the differences between rescue medicines like Ventolin or Duoneb and Arnuity Ellipta, which are long-term controllers of asthma symptoms that aim to reduce the incidence and severity of attacks. Arnuity Ellipta contains fluticasone furoate, an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medicine. ICS helps to minimize symptoms of asthma by reducing airway inflammation, which makes it harder to breathe. The exact mechanism of how ICSs work in asthma has yet to be discovered. Arnuity Ellipta is to be taken in one inhalation daily, preferably at the same time every day. Arnuity Ellipta is not intended for and should not be used to treat sudden asthma symptoms. Arnuity Ellipta does not replace your rescue inhaler. Arnuity Ellipta is available by prescription only. Note : Arnuity Ellipta is not to be confused with Trelegy Ellipta, a long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Trelegy Ellipta is NOT indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm or the treatment of asthma.
