AndroForte 5% Cream is prescribed to treat adult males with low testosterone levels (hypogonadism). This can happen when not enough testosterone is produced naturally by the body. It is not usually used to treat adult men with low testosterone due to aging alone. It is not safe or effective in boys younger than 18 years old or women. Dose AndroForte is to be applied by the patient once daily, at approximately the same time, preferably in the morning. It should be pasted directly onto clean, dry, healthy skin as directed, usually on areas of the upper body with minimal hair and body fat. It can also be applied directly to the scrotum, while avoiding direct contact with the penis. There is a general limit of 4 ml on a single day. The dose should only be varied if directed by the prescribing doctor. Regular visits are required to adjust the dose if levels detected via a blood test require this.

Brand Manufacturer: Compounded
Side Effects: The most common side effects of testosterone creams are skin reactions at the point of application (such as itching, blisters, and redness), headaches, elevated blood pressure, and acne. Some lab tests may be affected by AndroForte use. The physician ordering the lab work should be informed if AndroForte is a current medication. AndroForte may cause an enlarged prostate and increased serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in blood tests. In patients with diabetes who take insulin, higher testosterone levels may decrease their blood sugar levels. Be prepared to treat hypoglycemia while using this medication. Patients applying AndroForte may experience some sodium and water retention. They should weigh themselves daily. AndroForte can affect serum cholesterol levels and calcium levels. Liver function tests may report elevated values. Long-term use of AndroForte may lower a patient’s white blood cell (WBC) count, placing a patient at greater risk of infection.
Indication: Hypogonadism (often known as Low T) is a fairly common condition that can affect men of any age. However, it is more likely to occur and to increase steadily with age. The most common symptoms are: Depressed mood and decreased libido Disrupted sexual desire and performance, with erectile dysfunction and infertility coming from low sperm count Decreases in muscle development, mass and strength Lethargy, sleep disturbances and reduced energy levels The most decisive evidence comes from blood tests that measure testosterone levels.
