Praluent is used to treat high Cholesterol, it is taken alongside changes in diet.
This medication is usually used along with a proper diet and “statin” drugs to help lower “bad” cholesterol (LDL) in the blood. It is normally used by people who have high levels of LDL or who have blockage in the heart blood vessels, who need more lowering of LDL levels. This medication works by improving how well your body gets rid of LDL cholesterol.

Indication: Praluent is indicated in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial) or mixed dyslipidaemia, as an adjunct to diet: – in combination with a statin or statin with other lipid lowering therapies in patients unable to reach LDL-C goals with the maximum tolerated dose of a statin or, – alone or in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies in patients who are statin-intolerant, or for whom a statin is contraindicated.The effect of Praluent on cardiovascular morbidity and mortality has not yet been determined.
