Propecia is a drug used to treat and manage male pattern baldness. The active ingredient is Finasteride a drug that ïnhibits the enzyme which converts testosterone to DihydroTestoserone. In a study done over 5 years it was proven to cause hair regrowth in 2 out of 3 males who participated. side effects may include impotence, abnormal ejaculation and testicular pain – speak to your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Finasteride in higher doses is prescribed for enlarged prostate (BPH).
